This Privacy Policy explains how QuickICP ("QuickICP", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our B2B company and people search platform (the "Service").
1. Who This Applies To
This policy covers two different kinds of data, and they are handled differently:
- Your account data — information about you, as a registered user of QuickICP.
- Business contact data — company and people information you search for and reveal through the Service, which relates to third parties (not you).
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Sign-up details: your email address and password (we never see or store your password in plain text — authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase, using industry-standard hashing).
- Google sign-in: if you use "Continue with Google," we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Onboarding details: your company name, role, and intended use case.
- Billing details: legal name, entity type (business/individual), GSTIN (if applicable), and address — collected once you make a purchase, used to generate tax invoices.
Payment information
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves.
- We retain records of the transaction itself: amount, credits purchased, plan, payment status, and invoice/receipt documents.
Usage information
- Your searches, saved lists, credit balance, and transaction history.
- Support requests you raise with us, including any file attachments.
- Standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, browser/device information, timestamps) generated by normal use of a web application.
Business contact data (third-party data, not yours)
When you use Company Search, People Search, LinkedIn Lookup, or reveal an email/phone number, QuickICP returns business contact information about companies and professionals — sourced from data partners and enrichment providers, not collected directly from those individuals by us. This data is provided to help you conduct legitimate business outreach. You are responsible for using it in compliance with applicable law (e.g. anti-spam and data protection laws in your own jurisdiction) when contacting the people or companies returned by a search.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (searches, reveals, lists, credits).
- Process payments and issue tax invoices/receipts.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.
- Improve the Service and understand how it's used.
- Send you service-related communications (e.g. email confirmation, password reset, payment confirmations, support replies).
We do not sell your account data to third parties.
4. Who We Share Information With
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of QuickICP, our users, or others.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Financial records (invoices, payment records) are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law — typically several years — even after account closure.
- Credit ledger entries are retained permanently as an audit trail of your account's transaction history.
- If you close your account, contact us at support@quickicp.com to request deletion of data we are not otherwise required to retain.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to our legal/financial record-keeping obligations).
- Withdraw consent for optional processing.
- Raise a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Database-level access controls (row-level security) so your data is isolated from other accounts.
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all traffic to and from the Service.
- Payment processing handled entirely by a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway (Razorpay) — we never touch raw card data.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to the Service.
8. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The Service uses essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (e.g. sidebar state). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. [Update this section if analytics/marketing tools are added later.]
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
10. International Data Transfers
Our infrastructure may process and store data in data centers located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing, which is protected by the security measures described above.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
